MBO vs Performance objective
Wednesday, April 04, 2007

in termns of account, MOB(management by objective) and preformace objective, their difference is one base on result, another base on performance. They both need to: set agreement between Manager and company, plan, measure, execute, review, result, revise agreement/ objective then plan..measure...agian and agian. but MBO dun care what u do, just hitthe target and you can be pormoted. whereas performance base on what u have done set by set. even if you dun hit the target, if management realise that u have place in effort, they will not penalise you.

eg: in country like USA, american..they are all base on MOB. u hit target, the rest they dun care what u do. you cant hit, off you go and emply a new employee who can hit the target. we here do as well...but not to the extend of being sack. in chinese country, they dun partice promoting and bringing up those lower level to higher level. they believe in empolying high management staff so that they can have more biz bring in by those ppl. werid? we here, partice MBO coz companies know, we will never stay woth them for lifetime. Now tell me, if you got a job, will u stay lifetime? na...dun try to cheat urself...admit it..we love to move, higher we go, better prospect.

So who pactice performance objective since the world is gettign more n more to reality? believe me or not..the country with red dot in middle... in their country, they believe that once u join a company, you HAVE to stay for the rest of your life. if you cant make it, they will always retrain you until you can do it. that explain why the rate for training is the highest. any also, the younger gernrations can never hold a higher post than those old fello. not becoz they dunno anything but simple as if the younger climb higher than the older ones, the older ones will commit sucide. they will never sack any staff that they employ. they need face very much. ..and this leads to high commit sucide rate as once they set target that they must have it. if they fail, they lose face and they will start to jump off from buolidng la...use the sword kill themsleev la..etc...

but do yoy know that they are proud of their country? eg: those staff which work in the manufacturing company(car company..Hon.a...toyot....etc...) they always wear the company t-shirt coz they are proud of themseleves no matter what colour, what design...but for us, when we got a free company t-shirt..we complain 'material not good...no collar...got other colour or not...' to be frank..start laughing..i know..i laugh to. but its ture..we always wear those Tee nt becoz we are proud but coz its free.

their culture if really very special which one will never understand. they believe in their culture but the more younger gerneration seems may not carry on for long. you look at all the trend items esp nail art...colour hair all by them....not sure if they can last...
